Race for Education 5K & 1-Mile Run/Walk
Join us on Saturday, April 1, for our 2nd Annual Race for Education in partnership with Hillsborough Education Foundation! By lacing up your running shoes and joining us for a fun-filled race over the Hillsborough River, you are supporting our remarkable students and teachers in Hillsborough County Public Schools while focusing on the importance of healthy minds and bodies.
Race times:
• 5K: 8 a.m.
• 1-Mile Run/Walk: 9 a.m.
The 5K will begin at 8 a.m. on North Boulevard and Main Street and take participants south on North Boulevard to Cypress Street, back north to Laurel Street over the bridge to Doyle Carlton Drive, and turn on Green to head west on Main Street. At Rome Avenue, participants will head east on Main Street, north on North Boulevard to the roundabout at Palm Avenue, and south on North Boulevard to finish at Blake High School.
The 1 Mile Run/Walk will begin at 9 a.m. from the same starting line on North Boulevard near Main Street, head south on North Boulevard to Cypress Street, and back to Blake High School.
Registration includes:
* T-Shirt for all participants
* Finisher medals to all participants: 5K/1 Mile
* 5K Awards: Overall Male/Female* 5K Awards: 1st, 2nd, 3rd place in standard five year age group
* Post Race Snacks and refreshments
* Swag bags for all participants
Registration for 5K - $40 from February 1 to March 31
Registration for 5K - $45 Race Day
Registration for 1-Mile - $20 Thru Race Day
