St. Patrick’s Day 5K Run/Walk, March 12th, Al Lopez Park, Tampa
The St. Patrick's Day 5K run/walk promises to be filled with music, dancing, partying, and a great 5K fun run/walk. Participants will receive a personalized race bib with RFID timing chip, event shirt, and a custom finisher medal. The event is chip-timed and prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in both male and female overall plus age groups will be awarded at the completion of the race.
Registration packet pickup is at 6:45 am. Music and festivities start at 7:00 am followed by a pre-race warm-up hosted by a Fitness Trainer at 7:30 am. The 5k will start at 8:00 am. At the completion of the race, the Awards Ceremony will follow at 9:15 am. Music and dancing will continue after the ceremony at 9:45 am. Registration for adults, ages 15 and up, is $35. The Tampa East Sertoma club is a 501(c)3 organization chartered in 1965 and is one of the oldest service clubs in the Tampa Bay community. Since their inception, the Club has raised nearly $2 million which has been donated back to the community, and members have volunteered more than 200,000 hours for fundraisers and community work projects.
