Tampa Community Job Fair Hosted by Better Together
Better Together, with support from Abundant Life Worship Center, will host a community job fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19 in Tampa.
With recent storm impacts from Hurricane Helene and Milton, the need is greater than ever for job seekers. Some have lost their jobs and are working to secure income to support their families and rebuild their homes. This free community job fair gives all Tampa-area job seekers the opportunity to connect with local resources and hiring employers in the area.
Registration is now open for employers and job seekers to participate in the November event. Free one-on-one job coaching sessions are available to job seekers to review resumes and interviewing skills, and additional services will be available onsite.
The community job fair is part of Better Together’s “Better Jobs” program, which has helped nearly 40,000 applicants connect with employment opportunities across 24 states. At job fairs hosted by Better Together, two-thirds of attendees get a job interview, and 1 in 4 receive a job offer on the spot. Some 70% find work within six weeks.
The Nov. 19 job fair will take place at Abundant Life Worship Center, located at 8117 N. 13th St. in Tampa. Job seekers and employers can register at BetterTogetherUS.org/ALWC or by texting “JOBS” to 844-987-3949.
