Historic Happy Hours at Hotel Flor - Prohibition Nights
Hotel Flor invites Tampa to step through time this August. Prohibition Nights, the second chapter of the hotel’s Historic Happy Hours centennial countdown series, is transforming The Dan every Friday evening in August into an immersive 1920s speakeasy. Guests will experience era-defining cocktails, live music from 7-10PM, specialty appetizers, and the atmosphere that once defined the hotel during its earliest days, highlighting the intense final years of the dry law when Prohibition turned every good pour into a secret worth keeping.
To fully capture the spirit of the era, guests are highly encouraged to embrace the vintage glamour of the decade by arriving in their finest dapper suits, flapper fringe, or classic fedoras. Guests who dress in period-appropriate attire will receive a complimentary selection from The Dan's newly debuted dessert menu! This sweet addition to the time-traveling experience features artisan creations such as the signature "Dan" Bread Pudding layered with rich chocolate and fresh strawberries, the modern "Flor" Strawberry Shortcake, a silky Chocolate Mousse with candied pecans, and a decadent, deep Chocolate Torte.
Following August's Prohibition Nights, the timeline advances to September’s Jazz & Jasmine night to honor the late-1930s swing era. October brings The Society Pages with wartime cocktails from the 1940s, followed by November’s Mod & Martinis which channels the mid-century cool of the 1960s with Rat Pack-inspired drinks. The centennial reaches its peak on December 31st, 2026, with the grand finale in the form of a New Year's Eve gala, “A Century Uncorked.”
