Swimtastic Swim School
Swimtastic Swim School started from humble beginnings and grew over the last 20 years into the nationwide network of schools that it is today. In 1996, elementary school teacher Susan Wainscott began Swimtastic Swim School by teaching swimming in her backyard pool. Initially, she planned on only teaching long enough to pay for a heater for her pool. Once she started, though, the parents in her neighborhood kept coming to her, asking her to teach their kids. She sought new spaces to teach, such as local colleges and health clubs, and she added more teachers to her staff, growing the business year after year. Then, in 2015, Swimtastic Swim School combined with SafeSplash Swim School, and now their schools can be found across the nation. They’ve also partnered with various national fitness facilities, including L.A. Fitness, City Sports Club, and 24 Hour Fitness.
