Stirling Volunteer Fire Co.’s 23rd annual venison dinner will be held at 6 p.m., Saturday, March 11 in the firehouse at 321 Somerset St., Stirling
The $50 per person or $25 for children under 12 donation, includes a meal with venison cooked several different ways ranging from tenderloins to chili, tacos, stuffed peppers, meatloaf, and more.
Additionally, there is salad, a variety of freshly prepared hot side dishes, fresh baked bread, and dessert. Beverages include complimentary wine, beer, soda, coffee, tea, and bottled water. The food is served buffet, all-you-can-eat style. Take-out meals are available.
The meal is prepared by Stirling firefighter chefs and every year attendees rate it the best venison dinner in the state.
Tickets are available by calling 908-304-3975, from Stirling firefighters, or may be purchased at the door. There will be a large Tricky Tray, a 50-50, and other raffles.
This is one of the Stirling Fire Co.’s fund raisers. Long Hill residents and non-residents are welcome.
Funds collected are used for firefighter training, equipment, and firehouse expenses. The firefighters built, own, and maintain their firehouse. Stirling volunteer firefighters have answered calls for help and saved lives in Long Hill Township since 1913, every hour of every day.
