MFJC Welcomes Noted Guest Speaker, Stanlee Stahl, on Moral Courage and Bravery
All welcome to attend.
Mt Freedom Jewish Center (MFJC), the oldest operating synagogue in Randolph, NJ is proud to welcome noted speaker, Stanlee Stahl to address the community on the subjects of moral courage and the rescue of Jews by non-Jews during the Holocaust. All are welcome to attend this complimentary morning program Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 10:00 am at MFJC on Sussex Turnpike. Light refreshments will follow. Ms. Stanlee Stahl is Executive Vice President of The Jewish Foundation for the Righteous. The Foundation, which seeks to fulfill the traditional Jewish commitment to hakarot hatov, the searching out and recognition of goodness, has two goals. The first is to repay a debt of gratitude on behalf of the Jewish community to those non-Jews who during the Holocaust risked their lives and often the lives of their families to save Jews. Currently the Foundation provides on going monthly financial assistance to more than 120 aged and needy Righteous Gentiles in 12 countries.
Ms. Stahl spent 20 years working for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and in Israel, working for the Magen David Adom, Israel’s Red Cross Society, and celebrated her 31st anniversary working with The Jewish Foundation for the Righteous.
MFJC under the leadership of Rabbi Menashe East, is celebrating its 100-year anniversary this year. The congregation welcomes all regardless of background or heritage and has a robust children’s program, women’s study group, and traditional prayer services.
