The Third Annual New Jersey Guitar Summit is a full day of inspiration and instruction for guitarists on all levels who are eager to elevate their skills under the guidance of three internationally renowned masters of the American acoustic guitar. The day is filled with intimate workshops in the blues, bluegrass flatpicking, fingerpicking, intricate arranging, and more. The evening concert — open to the general public — is included in the price of your workshops, as well as meals, snacks, jam sessions and opportunities to interact with these incredible instructors.
The New Jersey Guitar Summit will be held in Morristown, New Jersey on Saturday, October 17, 2026.
Beppe Gambetta blends energetic grooves with passionate melodies, giving new life to sources from bluegrass and American roots to contemporary and European traditions. He’s performed with the likes of Doc Watson, David Grisman, Gene Parson of The Byrds, Norman Blake, and Tony Trischka, to name a few. You may have heard Beppe on NPR’s All Things Considered, at Merlefest, or headlining festivals around the U.S., Italy, and the world.
Stephen Bennett is one of the most highly regarded finger-style guitarists of his generation. The Toronto Fingerstyle Guitar Association called him “the Jedi master of finger-style guitar.” He is the only musician to ever win both the International Finger Style Guitar Championship and the National Flatpicking Championship, not to mention being a featured performer at Carnegie Hall and a regular performance partner of Tommy Emmanuel. Stephen is also the leading master of the harp guitar.
Suzie Vinnick is an astounding blues guitarist, with a powerful voice that puts her performances over the top. She’s a three-time Juno Awards nominee and has won an incredible twelve Maple Blues Awards, two Canadian Folk Music Awards, and an East Coast Music Award, in addition to twice winning the International Songwriting Competition – Blues Category.
The day starts at 9:30 a.m. with an introductory session and dividing workshoppers into three skill levels. All three skill levels will be taught by each of the three legendary instructors. Lunch, dinner, snacks and refreshments are included. After the workshops, we’ll have time to jam and share our music. At 8:00 pm, the public is invited to join us for a unique concert with Beppe, Stephen and Suzie performing individually and together. Tickets for the concert only can be purchased separately at folkproject.org. Again, the concert is included when you register for the full day of workshops.
The New Jersey Guitar Summit is presented by Beppe Gambetta and the Folk Project, an all-volunteer nonprofit dedicated to teaching and showcasing original and traditional acoustic music. That’s why this incredible day — workshops, meals and concert — costs only $148. Young people 16 and under cost $95. And the evening concert is only $35 at folkproject.org.
A phenomenal day at a phenomenal price.
