The trunk deepens the interpretation of Francis Law Macculloch (son of George and Louisa Macculloch), his wife Charlotte, and their surviving daughter Mary, who brought her mother's trunk to Macculloch Hall in 1859 when she was sent to live with her grandparents after her parents' deaths.
