A Spring Spectacular of Music
SOMERVILLE, NJ - The Whitehouse Wind Symphony, a community band under the direction of Branchburg resident James P. Sheeley, Jr. will present a free concert inside Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (300 Union Avenue) at 3:00pm on Saturday, April 20, 2024. The band is very excited to perform at this venue for the first time!
The concert program is entitled “A Spring Spectacular of Music,” and will feature several classical selections such as “English Folk Song Suite” by Ralph Vaughan Williams and “Irish Tune from County Derry” by Percy Aldridge Grainger, as well as Marches such as “Valdres” by Johannes Hanssen.
The concert is free and open to the general public, although donations will be accepted to benefit the band, a non-profit group comprised entirely of volunteer musicians. Face masks for protection against COVID-19 are recommended, but not required. In the event of dangerous travel conditions or public health emergency, the decision to cancel this concert will be announced on the band’s website (whitehousewindsymphony.org), Facebook page (facebook.com/whitehousewind), and Instagram feed (instagram.com/whitehousewind).
Good Shepherd Lutheran Church is handicapped accessible with ramp entrances, wide doors and restroom facilities (located between Rooms A and B.) Large print programs are available upon request.
