Saturday, December 14, 7:00pm, at First Presbyterian Church of Freehold, 118 West Main Street, Freehold, NJ. Fiona Smith Sutherland will direct, with organ accompaniment by Kathleen Healy-Wedsworth. The 35 voice mixed chorus will present the magnificent “Magnificat” (1991) by the English composer John Rutter. This work is alternately rhythmic, lyric, and harmonically lush and features soprano soloist Jacqueline Quirk. Also on the program will be shorter works by Herbert Howells, William Matthias, contemporary Canadian composer Mark Sirett, along with gems of the season. Join us for the sup...
