Author & Travel Expert Linda Perillo Book Signing
In advance of Italian American Heritage Month in October, local author, radio host, mother of eight, and family travel expert Linda Perillo is visiting independent book store Here’s the Story to sign copies of her memoir, Your Payment Method Has Been Declined.
As the daughter of the late Mario Perillo, founder of Perillo Tours, America’s leader in Italy travel since 1945, Linda carries forward a long-standing Italian-American legacy rooted in family and tradition.
Though born into a life surrounded by opportunity, Linda’s journey has been defined as much by hardship as privilege. Just weeks after Linda became a first-time mother at 28, she lost her own mother to breast cancer. In the years that followed, she lost her father to lymphoma, battled kidney cancer herself, navigated two divorces, and was blindsided by complex trust arrangements that left her without control of her finances. By the age of 52, she found herself a single mother of eight forced to rebuild her life.
Her memoir offers a candid account of how these experiences taught her the true meaning of resilience, empathy, and, as her father taught her from a young age, to always have a Plan B.
