Christus Chorus from Concordia University St. Paul
CHRISTUS CHORUS TO PERFORM
A choral concert featuring the Concordia University Christus Chorus from St. Paul, Minnesota is coming to Zion Lutheran Church, 3866 S. Old Highway 94 in St. Charles, MO on Sunday, March 17th at 4:00 pm. The music will include a wide variety of styles from classical to gospel and contemporary.
As the flagship choral ensemble of the university, the choir tours annually and has in recent years embarked upon international tours to Europe, Africa, and Asia. They have performed numerous times for the Minnesota Music Educators Association and the American Choral Directors Association conferences, and recently participated in both the 135th and 151st F. Melius Christiansen Anniversary Concerts at Orchestra Hall in downtown Minneapolis.
Paul von Kampen is in his first year as the Director of Choral Activities at Concordia University, St. Paul. He is an active conductor, writer, and presenter. He graduated from Concordia University Nebraska and holds a masters in choral conducting from Oakland University, Rochester Hills, MI, and a DMA in Choral Conducting from The University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
This choral event is part of the Music at Zion concert series for 2023-2024. Admission to the concert is free, although there will be an opportunity to give a free will offering.
