After last year’s great screening, this Halloween we’ve decided to do a couple of encore shows (including a matinee!) of Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, which is the feature-length debut of the title duo. Winning the Oscar for Best Animated Feature when it came out, this low-hanging fruit of October programming for some reason doesn’t turn up for repertory screenings nearly often as it should. Cheese-loving inventor Wallace and his beloved dog Gromit (who really does all of the hard work among the two of them) are charged with keeping the locals’ vegetables safe in advance of the annual giant vegetable growing contest. Though unaware at the time of accepting the job, Wallace and Gromit aren’t just up against bugs and critters, but indeed a were-rabbit is ravaging the would-be contenders’ vegetables.
It is $8 for the general public; $7 for seniors, Webster alumni and students from other schools; $6 for Webster University staff and faculty; $0 for Webster students with proper ID
