Free screening: 'Gateway to a New Life,' 7pm, Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Webster Hills UMC
This timely immigration-related program takes place in Webster Hills UMC's Christian Life Center (1333 W. Lockwood Ave., Glendale, MO) at the corner of W. Lockwood Avenue and S. Berry Road, across the street from the sanctuary.
The film documents the Afghan support program in St. Louis and an initiative to attract immigrants to St. Louis. The support program is privately funded and in place until at least the end of 2025.
A panel discussion and Q&A will follow the 54-minute film. Panelists include Afghan immigrant Zamzama Safi and representatives from the International Institute and LifeWise STL.
The screening is free and open to the public.
In this midst of so many cutbacks and deportations, the film screening and discussion is more important than ever. Please pass along the invitation.
