Gingerbread House Demonstration and Hands-on Decorating
Fifteen fortunate attendees will go behind the scenes to see how chefs Bernard DeCoster and Keith Gerst bake, build and decorate the holiday centerpiece - a gingerbread house.
The class will be held in The Barn restaurant. The cost for aspiring pastry chefs is $30 for the lesson and a gingerbread house that you can take home. Reservation Required; phone 314-822-8171 to make pre-payment.
The gingerbread house, royal icing, some decorations and use of glue guns will be provided. You can bring your own glue gun, glue sticks and some decorations if you would like.

Gingerbread Village Display in Library of Americana during open hours
Gingerbread house submissions will be accepted between Monday, December 1 through Friday, December 5, and then will be on display in the Library of Americana and Decorative Arts between December 6th and December 21st, after which time, bakers can take their creations home for the holidays.
