This Is Casually Happening: A Comedy Showcase
On Wednesday, February 21st, the comedy showcase This Is Casually Happening will be having its second showcase of the 2024 Season at The Golden Hoosier. The showcase was recently recognized in St. Louis Magazine for their November 2023 Issue alongside with other local showcases. Doors will open at 7pm, with the show beginning at 7:30pm.
Headlining will be St. Louis based comedian JC Sibala, who is well-known for featuring in the World Series Of Comedy, in addition to featuring at comedy staples such as the Loony Bins Comedy Clubs, Helium Comedy Club St. Louis, and both the Funny Bone locations (St. Louis and St. Charles). He will be recording his first comedy special this April at the Record Bar in Kansas City, MO.
The showcase will also feature comedians Mary Jayne, Jeremy Hellwig, and Mollie Amburgey. Jayne won Comedian of the Year in 2021. She was on the premiere showcase of This Is Casually Happening at The Golden Hoosier, as well as when the showcase was at Funny Bone St. Charles and The City Winery St. Louis. Jayne also performs regularly at Helium Comedy Club St. Louis and throughout the Midwest. Hellwig co-hosts the live storytelling podcast called Sorry Please Continue and is part of the sketch group Fatal Bus Accident. He has performed on Flyover, Bird City, Big Pine, and Memphis Comedy Festivals.
Amburgey is the producer of the show and host of the podcast Casually Mollie, which includes interviews with comedians and entertainers both locally and around the country. She also performs regularly in the St. Louis area and the Midwest. You may have heard her interviewed on the Big 550 KTRS and St. Louis On The Air with St. Louis Public Radio when discussing St. Louis Comedy!
