The event is a multi-city Midwest series leading up to the prestigious World Food Championships, where chefs vie for a shot at $150,000 and global culinary recognition. The St. Louis iteration pits a handful of chefs cooking whole proteins over open flame. Competing chefs and their dishes include: Mike Johnson (Sugarfire Smoke House) cooking a whole alligator.
