Melody Den “Gospel Karma” album release: Celebrating 25 years of original Midwestern rock
Melody Den has been making original Midwestern rock for 25 years. This show will feature the entire, new “Gospel Karma” album, along with many more original songs from its first four albums. In addition to the core band, John Baldus (drums), Jerry Baugher (guitar, vocals), Marc Chechik (guitar, vocals) and Dave Melson (bass, vocals), the band will be joined by special guests, including: Dustin Shrum (trumpet), Frank Bauer (sax), Jon Parsons (keys) and Amy Wooters (vocals).
Melody Den’s music is a combination of big, muscular rock and roll that blends influences as far-ranging as The Velvet Underground and The Who to The Tragically Hip and, by sheer osmosis of locale, Jay and Jeff. Make no mistake, this is guitar rock and great songwriting. Expect a two-hour journey through the band’s formidable catalogue of Midwestern rock.
