Leader Ladies Celebration
Grab a friend, grab a ticket and head out to Pevely on March 8 for a fun evening of fellowship at the first-ever Leader Ladies Celebration.
The event is set for 6-10 p.m. Friday, March 8, at the Oak Valley Golf Course and Resort, 1230 Abbey Lane, in Pevely. Admission is $40 per person and includes a buffet dinner catered by Andre’s Banquet Center and an open bar. The theme for the event is “Hippie Chicks.”
Part of the focus for the evening is a charity called I Support the Girls, an international organization that collects new and gently used bras, new underwear and feminine hygiene products for distribution to homeless or needy girls and women in the community. Since its inception in 2015, the nonprofit organization has grown to include 4,279 partner agencies such as Coco-Cola, Nike, Kimberly-Clark and more, with 53 local affiliates in the US and worldwide. More than 21 million items have been distributed. Donated items may be dropped off in advance at the Leader office, 503 N. Second Street in Festus, or brought to the March 8 event.
