The St. Louis Browns: The Story of a Beloved Team
The St. Louis Browns battled the Cardinals for baseball pennants, hometown loyalty, and survival. Could they run the Cardinals out of town? It seemed possible during good times when the Browns fielded some of the greatest players in major league history. But bad times included poor financing, bad business decisions, and the need to trade good players to stay afloat.
Join sports historian, Ed Wheatley, as he takes you on a tour of St. Louis baseball history! Ed is President of The St. Louis Browns Historical Society & Fan Club and will bring team memorabilia to see. He is co-author of "St. Louis Browns: The Story of a Beloved and Incredible Cardinals" and executive producer for the Emmy-winning Nine PBS Network documentary: "A Baseball Legacy - Fans Remember the St. Louis Browns."
