The Bommarito Audi West County Gateway Cup, Professional Cycling Races over Labor Day Weekend

The Bommarito Audi West County Gateway Cup is the final race series on two of the US top pro cycling calendars- the American Criterium Cup and the USA Cycling Criterium National Series. This is the fastest and most exciting format for professional road cycling. Every seat is a box seat, with four awesome neighborhoods turned into stadiums each day. Starting Friday night under the lights in Lafayette Square and finishing on Labor Day, Monday in Old Town Florissant, August 29th through September 1st. The event is comprised of four days of professional and amateur bicycle racing in four distinctive neighborhood locations across St. Louis City and County. Each day consists of 9 races for various categories of cyclist, the final two races each day are for professional Men and Women. Professional bicycle racing is free to watch. The series attracts the top amateur cyclist from across the US as well as an international field of professional athletes. In addition to the competitive events, the series hosts a vendor village/Expo, daily Kids Races, and charity rides and events. All four days of the Bommarito Audi West County are part of the USA Cycling Criterium National Series and the third day of the series, the Giro Della Montagna in the Italian Hill Neighborhood, is the final race on the American Criterium Cup calendar, the top professional series in the US. The total series prize list is over $500k, split equally between professional men and women. Unlike other sports, Professional bike racing turns neighborhoods into stadiums, featuring local businesses and communities. Each day features kids races, neighborhood expos, beer gardens, music, and signature charity events and rides.
