Project String Quartet, based in St. Louis, is renowned for its exceptional artistry and electrifying live performances. Comprised of members from esteemed institutions like Juilliard and Oxford, the quartet infuses classical masterpieces and contemporary hits with a fresh perspective. Their upcoming tribute, "Stardust," dedicated to David Bowie, promises an unforgettable evening at the Kirkwood Performing Arts Center.
Rebecca Chung, founder and violinist, is celebrated for her expressive lyricism. A Juilliard graduate, she's recorded for Ariana Grande and worked on film scores like "House of Cards." Asako Kuboki, a Peabody Conservatory alumna, brings a rich chamber music background from Baltimore and has performed globally, including with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra.
Amy Greenhalgh, educated at Oxford and the Royal College of Music, enriches the quartet with her diverse career spanning Europe and Chile. An accomplished violist and arranger, she fosters cultural outreach at Washington University, St. Louis. Shannon Merciel, a dynamic cellist with global orchestral experience, enriches the quartet's sound with her performances in the US and Europe, alongside her teaching at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
