City of Glendale's 'The Dirt on Compost' Class
On Thursday, May 16, Jean Ponzi from the EarthWays Center of the Missouri Botanical Garden will host a FREE presentation at 7 p.m. in the Glendale City Hall auditorium.
The class, titled "The Dirt on Compost," will teach us how nature turns dead stuff into healthy soil - and how we can join this amazing organic process. Learn how simple home composting can reduce your household and garden waste, in partnership with one of Earth's most powerful, productive cycles!
Registration for this event is required, and available by clicking this link. First 30 registrants will receive a free backyard container for compost. Only Glendale residents are eligible for a free backyard container, but all are welcome to register and attend. Small kitchen bins will be available to purchase at City Hall starting on Earth Day, April 22.
Funding for this event is to be provided by St. Louis County Department of Public Health.
