A meetup is an informal get-together of Postcrossing users. Meetups are hosted at places like stamp shows, libraries, arcades, etc. The host may provides a brief educational talk for free use of rooms in library or school. It is customary at a meetup for a "special postcard" to have been made and ordered in advance. This Edwardsville PostCrossing meetup doesn't require advance ordering. Participants will receive two different free special postcards compliments of the Edwardsville, Illinois library. There is a limited number of postcards and seating. At some meetups, attendees take turns passing around the "special meetup postcards" to be signed or stamped with a person’s custom stamp. Postcrossing users also bring stickers, washi tape, postcards, etc., from their own collection to trade or pass out. This meetup will provide complimentary stamps and other supplies to meetups so they can mail out the postcards after the meetup with location's postmark. Attendees also bring their favorite postcards they’ve received to show others, usually in an album. Refreshments will be served. RSVP is not required. This will make you eligible to receive a postcard from another member — and where your postcard will come from is a surprise! 3 Hurray!
