Join with the Webster Groves Nature Study Society on Saturday, February 3 at 11:00, at the central Blackburn Pavilion in Blackburn Park. From there, the group will walk a short distance to the northwestern corner of the Bird Sanctuary where a new display will be unveiled for all to see for the first time. This is a chance to learn about some of the local birds found in the park, and why a Bird Sanctuary is important to them and to us. The display also includes details about longtime Webster Groves resident Phoebe Snetsinger and her quest to see every species of bird in the world. In the 1990s, she held the lifetime record for total number of bird species seen. Note: Should temperature be below 30F and/or snow is on the ground, this event will be postponed to Saturday, February 10 at 11:00.
