Century Oak Sapling Distribution
Rotary Club of Webster Groves identified 100 Century oak trees in Webster Groves. Twelve of those were designated as Legacy trees and acorns were collected from them. The acorns were sent to Forrest Keeling Nursery to grow to 12-24" saplings, which are now offered for sale in order to perpetuate a green canopy for generations to come. There are 10 varieties of oak trees available. They are first come-first served, with pre-orders taken at www.webstergrovesrotary.org. Additional saplings will be available at Allen Outdoor Solutions between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. on October 19. ($50 cash, check or credit card)
