Florissant Ave., St. Louis. This free community event marks a major victory for food sovereignty, bringing healthy food access, jobs, and economic self-reliance back to North St. Louis. Taking place during Marcus Garvey’s 139th birthday weekend, the event honors his legacy of Black economic institution-building by raising the red, black, and green African flag.
