A Blue Christmas Advent Book Club
As we near the countdown to Christmas, we all may be feeling different things. The assumption is we feel joyful anticipation at the arrival of Christ and excitement to jump into traditions of baking cookies, selecting gifts, and being surrounded by family and other loved ones.
The reality, however, is that is not the case for all of us. Some of us feel Blue around the holidays, whether because of grief, depression, loss, anxiety, the state of the world, or maybe something else.
If this echoes true for you, you are warmly invited to join our Advent Reflection on Blue Christmas through the book A Weary World by Kathy Escobar. We will meet on Wednesdays for a meal and discussion about the book as we sort through the more complex feelings that can arise during this time of year.
The church will be open at 5:30pm to begin serving the meal; discussion will begin at 6pm.
