Y.A.L.E. School has recruited Dr. Johnell Brooks, Human Factors Psychologist and Miriam Monahan, Certified Driving Rehabilitation Specialist, to guide families and special education professionals in a workshop that promotes mobility independence for young adults with special needs. The program will address challenges with driving, community mobility goals & options, and life skills for mobility readiness. Participants will have the opportunity to experience a ‘Drive Fit and Safety Simulator’, a stationary driving simulator used to train students in the safety of a classroom using technology.
