The Philadelphia KiXX is a men's professional indoor soccer team and a single-entity organization that features a coast-to-coast presence across the United States. The club completed their 12th season of play in 2007-08 at the Wachovia Spectrum located in Philadelphia, PA. The Philadelphia KiXX is currently looking for a candidate to fill their In-Stands Public Announcer position. This position requires a highly articulate vocabulary as well as public speaking expertise. The position entails the candidate to announce different contests and giveaways that promote the team sponsors in an enthusiastic manner. The venue will be crowded and incorporates fast paced soccer action while working. Being personable and good with kids is also necessary for this position, seeing as the KiXX is a family friendly environment. Responsibilities: • Reports to Marketing Services Manager • Develops innovative ways to deliver sponsor information to audience • Helps createe excitement during halftime and quarter break contests • Is able to adapt to different situational issues • Works cohesively with public announcer Job-related Education/Skills/Experience: • 1-2 years of public speaking experience • Cable network/radio/sports broadcasting experience preferred • College degree preferred • Articulate • Ability to work independently, as well as in teams • Good physical fitness Other Information: • Location: Philadelphia, PA • Compensation: To be determined by prior experience • This is a part-time job. • Principals only.
