Everyone at the Woodstown Central Railroad acknowledges the courage and commitment of first responders who work tirelessly to protect our communities. On September 20th, we honor the bravery and dedication of firefighters, police officers, paramedics, EMTs, and 911 dispatchers by hosting our first First Responders Day. It’s a day to give back by recognizing their service and sacrifice, and to remember those who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
Choose from two different trains:
- Diesel-powered passenger train, pulled by ex-Reading FP7.
- Steam-powered freight train, pulled by #9.
First Responders ride for only $5 (donated to local charity)
A portion of other ticket proceeds will benefit a local charity.
Also available at South Woodstown Station will be interactive First Responder displays provided by our local communities between 12pm and 4pm.
Climb aboard for an enriching journey over the tracks of the original Woodstown & Swedesboro Railroad built in 1883. This 14-mile, 55-60 minute roundtrip will take you across peaceful Memorial Lake, through historic Woodstown, and over the Oldmans Creek Trestle as our Trainmen share what it was like to travel by rail in New Jersey nearly a century ago.
