Local Literary Legends Art Exhibit and Closing Reception at the Vineland Public Library- June 23rd
The Vineland Public Library Children's Department invites children of all ages and their families to the closing reception of Local Literary Legends: Children's Book Artists from New Jersey and Philadelphia, on June 23rd from 5:00pm-700pm.
Local Literary Legends honors the deeply personal nature of visual storytelling and celebrates the enduring power of picture books as both literary and artistic experiences. Featuring Anne Lambelet, Romeo Montero, Adam Gustavson, and Stephen Costanza, this exhibition invites families to explore the original artwork created by artists from New Jersey and the greater Philadelphia area. With their own distinct visual language and perspective, each of these artists demonstrate how illustration and storytelling work together to inspire curiosity, empathy, humor, and wonder in readers of all ages. Get a glimpse of their process behind these beloved books from the Vineland Public Library’s Children's Department collection!
Artists will be present at the reception with signed books available for purchase!
This exhibition will be viewable in the Doris Tripp Room from June 10th- June 29th.
