National Breast Cancer Coalition Fund's NEW Project LEAD® Workshop Deadline for Registration: March 27, 2009 The National Breast Cancer Coalition Fund (NBCCF) invites you to its NEW Project LEAD® Workshop, an introductory level, 2-day training open to anyone interested in learning: · the basics of breast cancer science and the biomedical research process · how to more accurately understand scientific information in the news · how to become a more effective breast cancer advocate for yourself and in your community. The workshop will be held April 3 to 5 in Philadelphia. Scholarships for those in financial need are available. The Registration deadline is March 27. Project LEAD, NBCCF's premier advocacy training program, has been training breast cancer activists to influence research, advance public policy and drive the adoption of quality standards in health care since 1995.
