Star Wars: A New Hope™ with The Philadelphia Orchestra

The Mann is thrilled to present Star Wars: A New Hope live in concert on July 20th. The Philadelphia Orchestra will play John Williams' iconic musical score live as the film is projected on three giant screens.

John Williams did not compose his Star Wars scores for the concert hall... but he did compose them with a concert hall mentality. George Lucas wrote his original 1977 script while listening to and taking inspiration from great works of the classical repertoire, and when he hired Williams to score the film, that kind of music - symphonic, grand, aged - felt like it had always belonged inside his new universe.

Since the release of A New Hope over 40 years ago, the Star Wars saga has had a seismic impact on both cinema and culture, inspiring audiences around the world with its mythic storytelling, captivating characters, groundbreaking special effects and iconic musical scores composed by Williams. The top Academy Award®-winning Star Wars film, A New Hope was nominated for ten Oscars including Best Original Score. The film was also chosen by the American Film Institute as the greatest score ever written. For the first time, fans will be able to experience the scope and grandeur of this beloved film in a live symphonic concert experience.

Tickets are on sale now via Ticketmaster.com, (800) 745-3000, or the Mann Box Office.
