Memory Café – create a rummage box
Join family caregivers at The Birches at Newtown for its monthly Memory Café, which meets on the third Wednesday of each month to share information on dementia, its effect on overall health, positive approach care tips, and more. Our next café meets Wednesday, April 16, at 5:00 p.m., at 70 Durham Road.
Did you know rummage boxes are a therapeutic activity that encourages memory reminiscing and other sensory stimulation? Learn more benefits of its usage from FOX Stronger Living Rehab Director Brendan Black while creating a rummage box for your loved one. Please bring items that reflect their past interests or other safe, familiar objects, like photos, textured fabrics, and souvenirs. When you attend, enter to win a manicure and pedicaure gift card.
