The American Diabetes Association (ADA) invites the public to stop diabetes by pedaling in the 2010 Greater Philadelphia Tour de Cure. Cyclists of all levels will ride through scenic Ambler, Pa., to raise funds to fight this devastating disease. Whether cyclists choose to ride three miles or 63 miles, friends, family and colleagues will come together to support diabetes research, advocacy and education. After the ride, cyclists will enjoy a finish-line celebration with live entertainment, food, massages and activities for the whole family. The Philadelphia Tour de Cure is one of 80 cycling events held in 40 states. In 2009, nearly 44,000 cyclists nationwide raised more than $16.4 million to support the mission of the ADA: to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of the nearly 24 million children and adults in the United States who are affected by the disease.
