Drug & Health Awareness Benefit for Teens

As part of the National Institute on Drug Abuse?s inaugural National Drug Facts Week, the Association of Women in Forensic Science is hosting a drug and health awareness benefit for the teen community featuring drug fact trivia for teens, chat forums with drug prevention organizations, mentoring, music, and giveaways, in addition to the following speakers: John J. Bryfonski, Special Agent in Charge, DEA Philadelphia Division who will discuss prescription drug abuse Dr. Tom Reid, Founder and Executive Director of Southwest Nu-Stop, Inc. Treatment Center and No-Mo non-profit drug prevention program for inner city youth Teen Ambassadors Jasmine Destiny Carter (Academy at Palumbo) and Nicholas Bailey (Independent Charter School) and Antoinette Thwaites from the Philadelphia Police Department Forensic Science Center.
