The Ball of Poets

Russian culture is rich in great poetry. Rustem Galitch’s Theatre of Poetry and Music celebrates this with a series of performances entitled 'The Ball of Poets', featuring poetry, violin music, and ballroom dancing. Galitch’s exhibition is renowned internationally, including North America and Russia. Some of the poets included in the production are Alexander Pushkin, Mikhail Lermontov, Vladimir Mayakovsky, and Sergei Yesenin. The combination of music and poetry will make for a spectacular display, one that will resonate with audiences of all ages. Galitch strives to in include local professional artists in his productions, with Philadelphia’s version featuring violinist Dmitry Vaks and ballroom dancer Ekaterina Lezhava.
