Doctor of Musical arts, specializing in the music of J.S. Bach, virtuoso pianist Regina Shenderovich will take you on an exhilarating journey through time and space exploring the lives and music of classical composers from Europe and Russia. The program will take listeners on a journey using various piano music from fugues of J. S. Bach (18th century), to the preludes of George Gershwin and the fairy tales of Nikolai Medtner (20th century).
Ms. Shenderovich is an expert pianist, having received her early training at the Special Music School of the St. Petersburg Conservatory. She has a Bachelor's of Music from the Boston Conservatory and Master's of Music from the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University, studying with Leon Fleisher. Ms. Shenderovich has been a faculty member at the Settlement Music School in Philadelphia and a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she also earned her Doctorate of Musical Arts.
