Set against the backdrop of Revolutionary-era Philadelphia, this ballet, set to Tchaikovsky's wonderful score, follows two children entrusted with a magical "Nutcracker.� The young adventurers set off on the trip of a lifetime, meeting George Washington and Benjamin Franklin and traveling to enchanted lands of battling mice, snowstorms and mountains of candies.
