Fishing enthusiasts of all ages are welcome to join us for fishing fun at Linvilla Orchards. The annual family fishing derby gives children of all ages the chance to reel in their very first catch for all to celebrate. Age groups for the derby include: 7 & under, 8 to 11, 12 to 16, and 17 & over.
There are over 1,000 trout swimming around in Orchard Lake, so the family fishing derby allows for a less competitive atmosphere where every child has an opportunity to participate. Many trophies are given throughout the day in a variety of different categories. Each fisherman is allotted to keep one fish. Each additional trout kept over 2 lbs is $15.99 and under 2 lbs is $5.99.
Feel free to bring your own rod, or they are available for rent. No license is required. This event is rain or shine so join us as we kick off the fishing season. This is a great opportunity for a family experience to create memories for a lifetime. Please visit Linvilla.com for more information.
