In 1971, the late matriarch of family-run Linvilla Orchards, Peg Linvill, won first place at the Philadelphia Horticulture Society’s Harvest Show. That display was brought back to the farm where the family had sold pumpkins for years and Pumpkinland was born. This year we celebrate 50 years of Pumpkinland being a fall destination for generations of families in the Philadelphia area. Pumpkinland is open from mid-September through early November and takes center stage at Linvilla Orchards. Larger than life figures and scarecrows illustrate the legends and lore of the harvest season, featuring local history and some of the many stories of pumpkins and apples. Linvilla offers a variety of autumn activities including hayrides, pick-your-own apples, and mazes! Visit Linvilla anytime from September 11 through November 7, 2021 to experience all the energy and attractions and celebrate 50 years of Pumpkinland magic!
PUMPKINLAND FEATURES:
Harvest Hayrides: Enjoy views of the farm on a 15-minute ride through the fields on our harvest hayride. Hayrides are available in September and October.
Hayrides to the Witch’s House: September 24 - 26, October 1 – 3 & 7 - 30, 2021
Take a trip to see the friendly witch in the woods! Gather around to hear the witch tell stories and jokes.
Autumn Moon Hayrides: September 24 - 26 and October 1 – 3 & 7 - 30, 2021
Enjoy the night sky on a 20-minute hayride through the fields. Full moon October 20th.
Jack-O-Lantern Exhibit: October 15 – 30, 2021
Jack-o-lanterns are lit nightly at 6 pm. Enjoy this spooktacular scene, fun for the whole family.
Mazes: Come get lost in our corn maze or our straw bale maze! Check our website for hours and details!
