This unique experience will mark the 97th anniversary of the sinking of the “Ship of Dreams” and will consist of four distinct parts: The first will provide a walking tour of Philadelphia's historic Laurel Hill Cemetery, where we will visit the burial sites and hear the stories of six Titanic passengers. Everyone will then meet up at West Laurel Hill Cemetery in Bala Cynwyd for a glimpse into the lives and deaths of the passengers interred there. Following the tours, guests will convene for a slide-supported presentation highlighting the many connections between the Titanic and Philadelphia. After the program, participants will feast on a delicious dinner replicating the one served aboard the Titanic on that final, fateful night. The dinner will be held inside the Conservatory on the grounds of West Laurel Hill. Each guest will be given a souvenir booklet and parchment replica of the stock certificate issued by the White Star Line. Our guide will be J. Joseph Edgette, Ph.D., a Professor Emeritus of Education and Resident Folklorist at Widener University. Dr. Edgette specializes in the history of the Titanic and the lives of its passengers.
