It seemed like a natural name for this event, which was started 15 years ago by Dr. Jerry Vernose from his passion for the art of homemade winemaking, as well as for his Italian heritage. A ticket to the Vendemmia Foundation Wine Festival includes food, music, and wine tastings. All proceeds go to a scholarship fund to support the educational needs of students of Italian Heritage in South Philadelphia.
