✨ Meet Hannah Penn: Pennsylvania’s First Lady of the Commonwealth ✨
A powerful living-history experience you won’t want to miss.
Join us for an engaging one-hour presentation brought to life by reenactor Ann D’Silva of Gather Place Museum, as she steps into the role of Hannah Penn—a woman whose steady leadership quietly shaped early America.
After the death of her husband, William Penn, Hannah Penn governed the colony of Pennsylvania, championing religious tolerance, diplomacy, and community-centered leadership during a pivotal moment in history. Through immersive storytelling and historical insight, this program sheds light on a remarkable woman whose vision still resonates today.
🗣️ The presentation concludes with an interactive Q&A, inviting reflection on how Hannah Penn’s 18th-century leadership connects to modern ideals of democracy, inclusion, and civic responsibility.
🇺🇸 This program is proudly part of America 250PA — an officially recognized event celebrating 250 Years of American Resilience in the Pursuit of Liberty, Justice, and Equality.
