The Global Philadelphia Association's 11th Annual World Heritage City Celebration will take place on Thursday, September 10, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Crystal Tea Room, bringing together civic, business and cultural leaders to celebrate Philadelphia's distinction as America's first World Heritage City. During the event, 6abc Action News Chief Meteorologist Cecily Tynan will receive the 2026 Distinguished Global Leadership Award, recognizing her extraordinary career and lasting impact on the Philadelphia region following her recent retirement announcement.
The evening will include a seated dinner, cultural performances and a fireside chat between Tynan and longtime colleague Nydia Han.
