“In 2022 we need to smile again, while we address what’s going on in the world.” Kicking off last summer with a gospel-infused remix of the Stephanie Mills classic, “Never Knew Love Like This Before”, Jenkins’s revolutionary idea, “Never Knew Love”, has earned him a #1 hit on the Billboard & Mediabase Gospel Airplay Chart.
After over 10 years of success in the music business with hit songs such as “Awesome”, “War”, and “Winning”, which has accumulated over 95 million streams and over 100 million views on YouTube. He’s also earned immense accolades such as 17 Billboard #1 Honors, 9 Stellar Awards, 7 Dove Award nominations, Grammy recognition for his work with Israel & New Breed as well as a Soul Train Music Award nomination.
The Florida native is now determined to utilize the inspiration from some of his biggest influences to be a part of a movement of happiness and uplifting stories in music. On top of his versatile resume, Jenkins is a devoted family man. He is married to Dr. Tara Rawls and he has three beautiful children, Princess, Paris, and Charles III.
As a beloved gospel figure, he has had the opportunity to perform at BET’s “Sunday Best,” “Celebration of Gospel”, and TV One’s “Urban One Honors,” but he is no stranger to performing for a wide variety of crowds. He has had the opportunity to perform at the Jay-Z Made In America Festival, The Essence Music Festival, and D-Nice’s Club Quarantine at LA’s famed Hollywood Bowl in front of 17,000 attendees.
