The Burlington County Model Railroad Club will be opening its doors for its 46th season this winter! Originally founded in the Palmyra in 1979, the club moved to its current location beneath the Burlington County Footlighters Theatre in 1985. Our 1800 square foot model railroad layout consists of over 700 feet of mainline track, with multiple trains traversing large cities, mountains, and seaside ports while servicing industries and towns along the route. Some highlights include an operating coal dumper and a carnival that has set up in town. Our layout doesn't model a specific time period or place, so we can generally run any train we like on it, so you may see steam locomotives, Amtrak trains or even Thomas the Tank Engine on the layout. Make sure to pick up a scavenger hunt sheet to find some hidden details on the layout. We will be open for select weekends from Thanksgiving until the end of February, noon-5pm each day. We recommend bringing a step stool for smaller children so they can see the layout better. Admission is free but donations are accepted!
