The GroundUP Music Festival returns for its 10th anniversary to the oceanfront Miami Beach Bandshell, March 13-15! Presented by the GroundUP Music Foundation and co-founded by Michael League of Snarky Puppy and veteran arts leader Paul Lehr, the festival celebrates a decade of boundary-pushing performances and meaningful musical exchange.
GroundUP Music Festival stands tall in the Miami music scene, offering a festival experience like no other. Known for its relaxed, intimate atmosphere and bold, genre-defying lineups, GroundUP creates a laid-back oasis of true community just steps from the sands of Miami Beach. Unlike most festivals that focus on a single genre, GroundUP pairs unexpected sounds and artists into a seamlessly authentic program, allowing each performer’s story to shine.
One of the world's most unique and progressive young voices on the electric guitar, Isaiah Sharkey has built “an enviable reputation as a guitarist’s guitarist” (Rolling Stone) through his solo work and his collaborations with artists such as Ronald Isley, Donald Lawrence, John Mayer, Patti LaBelle, Paul Simon, Corrine Bailey Rae, Raphael Saadiq, Lupe Fiasco, Faith Evans, The Winans, The Clark Sisters, and many more. His work on D’Angelo’s album Black Messiah helped garner a Grammy win for Best R&B Album. Isaiah Sharkey will appear in the Snarky Puppy family dinner on Friday, March 13 and perform on Sunday, March 15.
